Aims

I draw and paint what I am thinking about, dreams I had, questions I can’t answer, French tarot imagery, and promos for incredible stuff my loved ones are working on (making records, putting on performances, pooling resources for health benefits & human rights, selling barbecue sauce, having a birthday). I’m on a nice break from commissions right now to work on new nonsensical stuff and update our dear old house, but let me know if you see something in here that you like and want.

I also professionally provide end of life navigation and care in Albany & Schoharie County NY hilltowns. Caregivers, I see you and I know no one practices on purpose for what you’re going through. I can assist in preparing advanced directives and other special forms, sorting out care for your loved one before/during/without hospice, personally offer respite, compile tailored resource referrals and help you make phone calls, and deliver deeper education on health topics. When you could use someone to talk to about disability, vulnerability, how to die, fear, grief, relief, green burial ideas, creative memorial projects, or logistics, contact me.

The last chapter of a life is very personal, but it can be more magical with some help. As much as oncology patient navigation experience prepared me, I still wish I had been able and aware enough to talk to someone like me when caring for my grandparents and acting as my dad’s estate executor. It’s different when the people you love are involved every time. A third party can be beneficial to family dynamics in many cases, and you deserve informed support.

Education, Experience

  • I graduated in 2009 from the Moody College of Communication at the University of Texas in Austin. I have a Bachelors of Science with Honors in Communication Studies, including coursework in ethics, healthcare, law, rhetoric, religion, and un po' d'italiano.

  • 9 impactful years across two chapters were spent with the American Cancer Society (2009 - 2015 and 2023 - 2026) serving vulnerable populations from the National Cancer Information Center with diagnosis information, patient programs, resource navigation, and end of life planning. I loved and was built by this work with people on the cancer journey and carry it with me everywhere. Supervising the overnight Cancer Information team was the best (I miss y’all!). As AI entered the workplace, I decided to specialize and go solo.

  • I studied with Lauren Carroll (Death Educator, Holistic Funeral Director) and Dr. Melissa Delizia (MSW, LSW, DSW) of LA MORT to complete a Death Coach certificate in April, and became a Community Hospice of Albany-trained respite and vigil volunteer in May 2026.

  • I ran a whimsical goods shop online called Sacred Fool Furnishings full of original designs until 2024, and would love to reissue totes, cushions, shower curtains, and zippered bags one day with a killer collaborator. I still use these beauties daily and remain obsessed!

Geography

Raised in Longview, TX, degree’d & developed in Austin, finally at home in Berne, NY. 15 years went by well-spent among the artists, musicians, social workers, strategists, remarkable children, and freaks of the live music capital of the world. In 2021, Adam & I got married in our swimsuits in August at Barton Springs and relocated to upstate New York. We found a charmed and well-loved farmhouse sheltered under some spruce trees and agreed to work in the woods. With the help of my brother Julian we’ve discovered there are waterfalls 15 minutes away in any direction.

Limits

  • I do not use AI in my work.

  • I am not a medical provider (but I can help you find one).
